CWAM's Mission
Develop Strategic Partnerships...
Christians With a Mission exists in order to develop strategic partnerships with churches, missionary agencies, children’s homes, and orphanages; equipping them to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ and demonstrating the love of Christ by meeting needs as God reveals them and equips us.
Proclaim the Good News...
We also demonstrate and preach the Good News of the gospel to those in need, that they may be saved and come to love and serve the Lord with all their heart, mind, and strength; then proclaiming the Good News to others.
Minister to Widows and Orphans...
In addition, we minister to orphans, widows and others whom God places in our path, whether in Guatemala or in our hometown of Salem, Ohio. Our goals are to serve them, meet their needs as God enables us and most of all to demonstrate to them the love of Christ. We want to be His hands and feet in order to share the Gospel with the lost that they may be saved and grow to love and glorify Him.
The Weikarts
Mike and Renee, with their two sons Jonathan and Jacob, were full time missionaries for Christians WIth a Mission in Monjas, Jalapa, Guatemala but are currently back in Ohio. In Monjas, they worked with the James Project of Latin America and served at Shadow of His Wings Orphanage. Mike focused in the areas of building maintenance, construction of new projects and planning and organizing current and future projects. Renee taught English in the Shadow of His Wings Pre-school and helped with homeschooling the missionary children. They also served in the community wherever needs arose, demonstrating the love of Christ and spreading the Gospel.
Currently, the Weikarts travel to Guatemala several times a year participating in ministry there and are serving as Ambassadors for Shadow along with Kevin and Lisa Burgess here in the states. This ministry includes supporting full-time missionaries at Shadow and fundraising for the work that God continues to do in the lives of the children at Shadow.
God has provided an opportunity to be a part of His work both in Ohio and in Monjas, Guatemala. The plans are His and it is a privilege and honor to be a part of what He is doing and to see Him moving in the lives of all of us.
God is Great and we are very excited to see what plans He has for His people, His ministry and us!

Shadow of His Wings is an orphanage for children that teaches the love of Christ and provides a good Christian education while also meeting their physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Shadow of His Wings Orphanage hosts various short-term mission teams throughout the year who participate in community projects such as VBS for community children, distributing food baskets for the neediest families, passing out water filters and much, much more. The needs are great but He is greater.
